![]() Paperbacks Plus currently has two used bookstores in the Dallas, Texas area and has been in business for more than 25 years. We sell used books (both hardbacks and paperbacks), CD's, cassettes, LP's and video tapes as well as comic books, magazines and 8-track tapes, whether in print or not. If you are in the Dallas area and have items with which you are finished, you can pay us for up to half of our normal price with trade-ins which are in good condition and for which we have some use. The rates allowed for your materials will vary from a max of 50% of our expected selling price down to a nominal value depending on our judgement of our supply and demand as well as other factors that may apply to particular items. We do pay cash for some things, but we are much more selective and the rates are usually only about 60% of the trade-in value for the same item. We recommend that you look through your things before you bring them to us to be sure that (1) you really are ready to part with them; and (2) that they are still in good, clean condition, especially if they have been stored in a garage, attic or warehouse. If the bugs or water have gotten to them, they most likely will only be eligible for our free area in front of each store. We also mail books to institutions according to the rules that they each stipulate. Please be sure to familiarize yourself with the rules that apply to the particular one so that they do not refuse the things that you buy from us to send to someone there. If this should happen, we usually can only refund the cost of the items themselves, but we cannot refund the postage and packaging charges which have already been incurred on our part. We do make appointments for home visits in the Dallas area for most of our services as part of our Books at Home service. And check out our online request service called Lucky Dog Books. Please email us at Info@luckydogbooks.com if you have any questions about this or anything else we do, or see the phone numbers referred to above.
